I discovered late last night that I get VH1 Classics with my cable package. With my natural gift of bad timing, I tuned in just at the very end of a couple of Boomtown Rats videos. ::sigh:: This morning I've seen an Ultravox video ("Vienna"), some Culture Club, and David Essex performing "Rock On" on a show called Beat Box. Ah, the 70's--people were sitting in his audience just puffing away on their cigarettes, and that just looks weird now.
What ever happened to David Essex? After that song and his brief venture into movies (Stardust), he disappeared.
Okay, I would love to sit here all day and watch old videos but it's time for work.
